Is Israel’s attack on Palestine bringing closer the great battle of Armageddon?

If we understand the scriptures correctly, Armageddon is supposed to start in Jerusalem or the middle east as a campaign or one event that ushers in Christ’s second coming.

Will America Fail?

I would like to be a bit serious and talk about the euphoria some of us were caught up in during this election. I wonder if we still recognize that these are very troublesome times. We have a lot of serious problems still to solve. President Elect Obama is going to need our help and cooperation to solve them.

I did not vote for Obama, and I was very vocal about my feelings toward him as a presidental candidate. Nevertheless, he is going to be our next president; he needs us to stop the polarization caused by the elections. We must unite together and stand behind him. Remember that if he fails, so do we! We had better get our act together and help him succeed as our president, like him or not!

Where Are We Headed Now?

We know by now that we are in a recession, and have been for over a year. It only took the media a year and the government a year to tell us what we already knew, that jobs were being lost, that our spending power grew less and less, and that gas prices drove in the nail to an already sick economy.

Just Burning Up The Money

Is it a myth, an outright lie, or just a chance to get some free money from the taxpayers. You read this article and then tell me what you think. I think we, the taxpayers, are getting the short-end of the deal. The question is, “Will Congress bail the BIG THREE or not?”

Bad news first: California is now in a financial crisis. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared California’s situation an emergency. He is considering the possibility of issuing warrants, which are a promise to pay with interest, to suppliers and contractors. The State of California has done this before, in 1933 and 1936 during the Great Depression, in 1971 and ’72 and in 1982 through 1984.

Our Days Are Exciting

I realize that a lot of things are wrong in society today. There are plenty of things we can find to complain about, not to mention all the things we see on the news that scare us to death. With that being said though, these times are really an exciting time to be alive.

I often think of what it would be like to be suddenly dropped into the society we have today from fifty or a hundred years ago. What a shock it would be, but at the same time it would be a blessing to have access to of all the opportunities and lifestyle advantages we have today.

I wonder if we recognize how blessed we are to have everyday life so easy.

Cooking With a Dutch Oven

My husband cooks with a dutch oven and he has been making some really good food too. Hot Bar BQ chicken wings, hot dogs and beans, road kill stew, potato surprise, pot roast, rolls, and desserts.
