What do you think about this new stimulus package that Congress just passed? I see it as a spend, spend, spend policy on all sorts of programs that don’t have anything to do with the situation at hand. I see a lot of pork stuffedput into it. Why does Congress insist on sticking in all that pork that bumps up the cost so high?
When is Americans going to say enough is enough? I heard it said on the news yesterday that people complained about the package until they heard it was Obama’s, and then they were for it. That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Either you are for it or you are not.
The problem is that the Democrats tried to make it look like it was Republicans that were not co-operating. It was not a bi-partisan package that they claimed it was supposed to be, only three Republicans out of 219 could vote for it…that makes me very disappoionted in Congress.
Republicans claim that there was 11,000 pages that not one Congressman read. In fact, Obama’s representative said that they had a lot of programs just waiting to be funded. Did you hear that? Programs that they knew a Republican Congress would not pass for a variety of reasons. Lets see, maybe now there is funding for on-demand abortion (even late term and born alive), and probably the right for teen girls to get an abortion without parents knowing.
Republicans say the package contains much that IS NOT STIMULUS and NOTHING SHORT OF GENERATIONAL THEFT. You know whose going to pay for that loaded package don’t you? It would be different if it actually had a good amount of helpful stimulus. Funny how much they complained about the Republican package last year that didn’t work, but at least it was a genuine attempt to solve the problem. This package is an excuse to use our situation to pass programs that would never have passed otherwise.
This Congress tries to say that we are in this mess because of the prior administrations doings. However, in fact, it is greed that caused this problem. Democrat and Republican politicians knew what was going on and many participated in the problem. Let’s be honest, that is really what caused this problem. People going into debt and into fixes they could not get out of without going bankrupt. That’s not governments fault. Wall Street had the support of many Democrats and some Republicans in Congress, and you know that is true if you paid any attention to the elections; in particular, ACORN as an example.
So it’s about time people open their mouths and tell Congress to cool it. There will be ramifications for all the free stuff Congress wants to give people on the backs of our next generation and the middle class…such as healthcare governed by the government. That means Government will be telling healthcare providers and doctors how they can practice and what kind of service they can provide. Many doctors will leave their practice because their hands are being tied enough with the healthcare program in place now. What do you think will happen to care level of care comes reality. This sounds very dangerous. I wish people could look down the road and see this but they have been conditioned to believe the opposite.
Well, I’ve talked about this till I’m blue in the face and people still won’t listen. They aren’t going to either until the ceiling falls on top of us. Then who will they blame? Hum? Makes you wonder.
