Whether you own a home-based business or another type of business, the news on Wall Streat is unsettling and now we still hear the “R” word. I just heard on the news today that, while most economist will not say yet that it is a Recession, most people know it is a recession.
Do you know what to do now to try and prepare better for the harder days ahead? I know many of us, me included, are looking for ways to prepare better and to deal with tighter wallets. I found the best report to help you with storing extra food by spending only an extra $5 a week. I will be doing a report on that a little later.
What I want to talk about right now is how you will deal with issues you face today and what might be in the forecast. One thing I know all too well is that we cannot be consumed with worry about the future or think to much about the situation we face today and then react out of panic or hysteria. When we do, we often make mistakes in judgment.
We must act prudently and use a well-thought-out plan when we do things to make life easier. We must not make a rash decision that we could regret later, based on speculation (unless that is our profession). For this reason, I want to devote a few postings to this subject. I will put them under the catagory “Preparedness.”
As far as business news, I will focus on the Multi-Level and Network Marketing Business. I see that field as growing fast and so people need my expertise in that area. I have been in this field since 1977, and experienced successes and failures. I see MLM/Network Marketing as a way for average people to supplement their income and create residuals. This is also a way for people to have more control over how they spend their time and money. However, it is easy to get pulled in to the hype and over-spend or over-extend themselves.
In a healthy economy, we can make adjustments to off-set our mistake in judgment when over-spend or over-extend ourselves; being able to repair the damage we created in a short time. However, in a sick economy like we face right now, doing this could be a mistake from which we may never recover.
This section is, therefore, devoted to giving my advice in how to stay focused and not be pulled in to the hype of sales and some Network Marketers. Some of my reports will come from the book, “The Treasure Box Series” by Judith L. Sherman (that’s me); from the Chapter titled: Being Successful in Life and Business.
