Is Something Wrong Here?

I heard a statement tonight on The Fox News Channel that really bothers me. It was said that our military is at war but a nation that is not! Is there something wrong with this picture? Of course there is. The problem is we have a President and a Democratic Party that do not understand what being at war means.

We send troops to war because the previous administration committed us to it, but we want out as soon as we can get out and “save face” is the general belief of those holding the power in office right now. We have a president that won’t even use the word “Islam Extremist” or “War on Terrorism”. In fact, he doesn’t see anything wrong with closing down Gitmo and bringing those “bad guys” OUR ENEMY to our homeland. That is outright stupid in any language and to any nation who is fighting a war in Islam countries. What will it take for the Democrats to wake up?

I’ll tell you what it will take to wake up America’s government. It will be when the dollar crashes and we have chaos in American streets. Then they will know what war on terrorism is, especially when we get hit again; finally they will understand who the enemy is and that we are at war. Of course, they will hit again when we are knocked down because the dollar crashes. By the way, the dollar has fallen another 19% since March 2009.

Oh my goodness, what will happen when they release the detainees from “Gitmo” and put them into American prisons? These people will turn up again, you know they will–they will escape and end up in the general population again–and then we will be fighting them on our own soil. Many of those who attacked us in the past are those who were captured before and released. Do we trust the Obama administration to keep these guys in prison and out of our way? I don’t think so, I’m sorry, because we know he and the Democratic party think they should be given access to our courts and legal representation; as if they are an American. I can’t believe a country could be so stupid as to do this insane act. I’m sure other counties are laughing at our stupidity!

I want to support our President but I am having a very hard time doing that when he just plain doesn’t get it! When it comes to securing our nation against terrorists, he has no clue. He took days to comment about the shooting at Fort Hood and the attempted bombing on the plane this week. All they want to do is blame the Bush administration for everything! Does that sound like a leader to you? We MUST somehow convince Washington that they are really off-base and wrong!

The criminals have more freedom than the American passengers do, and that my friend is JUST PLAIN WRONG!

A New President

 

What an exciting day we had today. We have a new president and a new family in the White House. History is being made today, and that in itself is exciting.

What happens after the honeymoon is over and the “talking head” start making their “talking-points” about what’s wrong in government? You know it’s going to happen; it always does. That’s the nasty side of politics that I really dislike.

Now I will admit that I was NOT for Obama as president. I have great concerns about his policies and plans to leave America open and helpless for another 9/11 attack, when he closes down the prison in Cuba for the really bad guys and puts them right here in America. I don’t think that is very smart. I also worry that Democrats in general do not believe we are really in a war on terror; in fact, they’ve stopped using the term “war on terrorism”.  I also have a huge objection to God being removed from everything we hold dear, as well as abortion at any part of the term when it’s “ON DEMAND”. 

With all this being said, I do support our new President. I want to have hope that most of America will do the same, even if we don’t all agree on his policies. We really do need to unite. I’ve been saying this for years. I was appalled by the 2000 and 2004 elections, where DEMOCRATS played the race card and tried to tell people that Republicans were racists and that Bush hated blacks. What made me really angry is when the Associated Press reported Democrats were encouraging people to say anything, true or false, to infer that Republicans were obstructionists at the polls. How dare they use the eniquities of race as a tool in their political arsenal? Race is only an issue when we let them (politicians who have something to gain) get away with it. Only we can end the race war when we refuse to participate.

Okay, now we have a beautiful black man and a lovely family in the White House. Let’s give him the respect the President of the United States deserves and forget about the race of this man. Do you think we can get over that fairly soon; after all the celebrations are over? I hope so. Can we all be of one race, the human race?  Can we all be Americans with an American President? I truly hope so, because united we stand but divided we fall.
